A Photo Biography of Alan Goldberg

Art Purpose & Statement
The reason I take photos and create art from them is because I see and experience the world in a different world way than most people yet still pull deeply on the emotional feelings of the viewer. It is also my hope that as part of my being a photo-artist to help people of service to their community which may include: veterans, police, firemen, EMTs and teachers.

Artist Statement
Some people are realists and others artists. I find myself somewhere in between the two. I took up photography as I couldn't capture the world as I saw it as an artist. I started to turn my photography into art as I wanted to express myself in a new & unusual way.
I have been exhibiting my photography since 2014, first as traditional photographs & within the last few years as art. One of the first shows I took part in exhibited many of the famous musicians that I have photographed since 2010. Some of my harshest critics were photographers that did not share the same vision or were purists - yet I pursued my art.
It was not until I moved to Florida that my perception of photography & art were recognized. Within a few months of my move, I was asked to be a part of Art Basel/Miami Art Week 2022 & again in 2023. During that year’s Art Week my work was said to be “refreshingly unique and beautiful” by John Haffey of Art World News. I was asked again to be a part of this year’s Art Week. This year was my second year at the NY Art Expo in NYC. I have also been a part of Art San Diego. I have also been published in Vogue and Contemporary Art Magazines.
I had been part of a number of shows at Galeria Azur in Miami, invited to join one of the largest art collectives in Miami/Wynwood and have been regularly exhibiting my work in galleries in Palma, Berlin, Zug, Basel, Athens, Paris, Venice and Dubai. In addition to having a number of local shows in the South Florida area. I am also listed in Marquis Who’s Who and Continental Who’s Who.All of my prints are limited edition and numbered (no more than 25 prints for sale) and come with a certificate of authenticity.
